Looking Back at The Triangle Marketing Club…
So we’re fast approaching the 1-year anniversary of the Triangle Marketing Club. For those who aren’t familiar with the Triangle Marketing Club, it’s a local networking event that was created in the Triangle by Chris Douglas and myself. The one year anniversary is fast approaching and I can say it’s been one fun ride…
The Triangle Marketing Club Story
The Triangle Marketing Club is an organization that was created by two people who might as well be you. It started off in December of 2014 when Chris and myself were grabbing coffee at Deja Brew Coffee in Raleigh, North Carolina. Originally spinning out of a volunteer idea for another organization, we quickly realized that the Triangle had a spot open for a new organization.
As TIMA, the local Raleigh SEO Meetup, and a few other organizations were quickly changing hands of Ownership, we both felt like the Triangle needed something new. So after a few ideas and a lot of coffee, the idea for the Triangle Marketing Club was born. I will never forget coming up with the idea and the concept with Chris, and later emailing a few people including Neal Isaacs and Ryan Hoover, and going “Is this a crazy idea or what?”
Thank You
A year later though, I don’t think I’m crazy. I’ve been lucky to get to know some awesome people and grow even stronger bonds with some awesome Triangle folks. Without volunteers like Neal, Victoria Centeno, and Kristie Simmons the Triangle Marketing Club would not be what it is today. Thank you. You guys are the core of TMC and it wouldn’t have been the same without you.
Thanks to all those who attended our events in 2015, we have some awesome events in store for 2016 and I look forward to sharing them with you.
