A Pursuit of Happiness

Cole Watts - TheeDesign

Happiness, it’s something that we’re all constantly looking for, though not all of us are willing to admit it.

We often catch it but have to let it go. Sometimes we have it for fleeting minutes, be it causing a friend to smile or that pay raise we were looking to get. We often find it, but sometimes it’s just not right. Life changes. Goals change. Expectations change. What makes you happy changes. It is inevitable.

The Cole Watts News

Just like you guys, I’ve been searching for my own piece of Happiness lately which is why today I’m announcing my departure from TheeDesign.

This was a hard decision but something that was needed. Something changed last year for me and I realized I wasn’t being challenged any more and I was getting complacent. Keep in mind, I have nothing bad to say about the company. Over 4 years ago Richard Horvath and Heather Curtis accepted an email from me and let me be a part of their company. What led to two interviews, four years of client work, and a ton of awesome friends led to experiences that I wont’ forget. I wouldn’t be what I was if not for those two taking a chance on me. I also can’t forget to mention the awesome rockstars that I got to work with including:  Lisa Arrington, Lauren CuratolaPatrick Stox, Rob Delory, Tevan Alexander, Keri Giordano, and Eric Gilmore. You guys rock and I will never be able to repay you for the experiences and moments that you gave me.

As for what’s next, I’m not completely sure. It’s kind of scary honestly, but at the same time I am looking forward to the challenge and the rush that will come with being scrappy once again. I plan on doing some freelance work and doing some consulting, but also look forward to being a #FreeAgent.

For those who are hiring, my skills include SEO, PPC, Social Media, and all-around digital strategy but if you’re reading this you probably know that. (I’m available for contract work or full-time work if you think there might be a great fit. Email me: ColinWWatts@gmail.com.)

In the meantime, here’s to happiness…what it has brought me and what it will bring.
